The stock consists of about +16,000 latest books on a variety of subjects. Disciplines like Architecture & Design, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Biosciences, Computer studies, Business & Management, English Language and Literature, are particularly well represented, as also general reading such as Psychology, Social Sciences, Pakistan Study, Travel, Biographies, Fiction, Geography and History etc are available for reading and lending purposes. The library material can be borrowed from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm, during working days.

"Reference Services" is defined to include the professional advice and assistance provided by the library staff, from material in the library's collections or elsewhere, to assist individuals using the library or making enquiries by mail, telephone or on-line to meet their information needs.

It also include the range of information products, such as guides, directories and databases, and the equipment and facilities that are provided to enable research to be carried out to meet information needs.

Dedicated library staff provides efficient and reliable reference services to its patrons. The users can make quarries and get assistance regarding library resource and services. The help desk and reference services can be obtained from9:00am to 4:00 pm

Through HEC Digital Library, the CIIT Library has on line full text access of about 23,000 research journals and magazines. The library also has a good collection of periodicals, newspapers and CD-ROM databases, giving most recent information to the researchers.

The library provides pro-active information, news flash e-mail messages, Current Awareness Services to its users with the aim that right information @ right time.

This service enables CIIT library users to have access to one of the most comprehensive collections of serials, reports and conference proceedings in the world- including 1,00000 serials titles in many languages. Photocopies of any items in the collection may be obtained through British library London.

CIIT Lahore Library has professional trade relations with some important local / national libraries. If required material is not available in the library, the material can be provided through ILL service.

The Library also have the full access on the library material of other COMSATS campuses libraries on ILL basis.

Library offers users access to up-to-date information on books. Subject bibliographies can be obtained on request. We can also provide information on USA, Pakistan and British publishers and the book trade and on the availability of British and American books in Pakistan.

Any book in the catalogue can be reserved by any user. The user will be notified when the book is available / returned.

The photocopy service is available in the library for reference material. The library users can get their required material as per “copy right laws”.

The library also offered the latest facilities like scanning and printing. Good quality scanners and laser printers are available in the library for services. Initially this service is provided to faculty and researchers only.

The library provides the Wi-Fi facility to the users in the premises of the library. The authorized users can get this facility.

Library has 4 computers in the electronic section for library users. This facility will be available on first come first serve basis and no reservation request will be entertained in this regard.

Library do not guarantee about safety of data while using these computers. Users are advised to save data on USB flash drive as documents saved on the workstations are subject to deletion without any notice.
